Fast cutting with plasma
Recently the plasma cutting process has come forward as an economic process in the cutting technology. Fast machines are necessary for this high-speed process (up to 8000 mm/minute cutting speed). Cutting with plasma stands for great precision. The process is only suitable to cut electric conducting materials. It has a result of 0,5 tot 0,40 mm. Plasma cutting is mainly used for cutting non-ferrous materials (whit a maximum thickness of 180 mm), but also thin plates of steel can be cut with it.
